Raidah Salwa Mat Redzuan brings a diverse legal background to her practice, having started her career at a general practice firm in Kuala Lumpur. During this period, she gained invaluable courtroom experience and successfully handled civil litigations and criminal matters. Raidah's passion for helping others, combined with her legal knowledge and professionalism, has been evident throughout her career.
In 2009, Raidah embarked on a new professional journey as an in-house counsel with Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, a Ministry of Finance-owned company. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in the restructuring of the water industry in Malaysia, working closely with both the State and Federal Government. Raidah was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the legal transformation of the water industry. Collaborating closely with the finance and project departments, she ensured the effective management of capital expenditure (capex) and operational expenditure (opex) for all government-owned water assets. Her dedication to maximizing financial optimization in this critical sector was evident throughout her work.
Raidah began her journey with Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad as a Legal Executive and steadily advanced within the company. Her exceptional expertise and leadership qualities led to her appointment as the Head of the Legal and Compliance Department. This position showcased her ability to navigate complex legal matters while maintaining a high standard of compliance.
Through her role at Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, Raidah demonstrated not only her legal acumen but also her commitment to contributing to the development and improvement of vital industries in Malaysia. Her leadership and expertise played a significant role in the successful restructuring of the water industry, ensuring its continued growth and sustainability.
Subsequently, Raidah embarked on a new venture within the oil and gas industry, serving as an inhouse counsel and contracts advisor. She has worked with various companies of the oil and gas industry namely Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd, GOM Resources Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Global Offshore Malaysia), Velesto Energy Bhd, Sapura Energy Berhad and Saipem (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This role allowed her to optimize the skills and expertise gained from her years in practice. Her professional experience encompasses various areas, including contract drafting and review, contract management, effective negotiations, legal research, and providing sound legal advice. During her tenure in the oil and gas industry, she has involved in many constructions projects be it locally or internationally.
Education
Raidah is a graduate of the Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Laws at the International Islamic University, Malaysia. She is licensed to practice law in the High Court of Malaya and has further expanded her expertise as a licensed Trademark and Industrial Design Agent.
